Ítem Acceso Abierto Riesgos laborales del personal de enfermería en la atención de pacientes SARS-COV-2: Una revisión sistemática(Universidad Católica de Cuenca, 2023) Calle Encalada, Dolores Mireya; Castro Lema, Zoe Camila; Luzuriaga Calle, María Augusta; 030259919-6; 035012722-1The workplace scenario where nursing personnel perform their duties of caring for patients SARS-CoV-2 presents a series of on-site risks that can result in various accidents and/or conditions that influence their professional functions and affect their state of health. Objective: To know the occupational risks of nursing personnel who care for patients SARS-CoV-2. Methodology: The present study consists of a systematic revision carried out under a qualitative focus, considering 15 scientific articles obtained from different information sources such as SciELO, Redalyc, Medline, Scopus, LILACS, and other databases ProQuest from the Catholic University of Cuenca. Results: As for the care of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2, the risks for nursing professionals are intensified since the contagion and spread of a said pathogen can occur through tiny droplets or by direct contact with certain fluids and/or surfaces within the workplace environment that has been contaminated. Conclusions: Occupational risks to nursing personnel caring for patients SARS-CoV-2 are: the biological ones, considering certain fluids and/or surfaces within the workplace environment a said pathogen has contaminated; the physical ones, such as the use of personal protection equipment since they apply considerable pressure on the skin; and the psycho-social risks, which are the work overload, feelings of sadness and fear of exposure, situations that can result in stress, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, loneliness, and extreme sorrow.
