Ítem Acceso Abierto Formas modulares para la Plaza Cívica, Cuenca, Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2025) Guamán Tacuri, Josseline Estefania; Quezada Ortega, Jaime Ramiro; 0150316628This research addresses the problem of informal commerce in Cuenca's Civic Plaza, an area of great historical and commercial value. It proposes the design of multifunctional modules that encourage the organization of temporary commerce without affecting the plaza's economic and social dynamics. The importance of this study lies in the need to balance local economic development, allowing for better distribution of commerce and flexible use of public space. Its purpose focuses on providing architectural solutions that improve pedestrian mobility and strengthen the plaza's cultural identity. The project's impact is economic, by boosting commerce, strengthening the site's identity, and optimizing the experience of merchants and visitors. The qualitative and quantitative methodology is based on field observation and theoretical analysis. The sample includes merchants, passersby, and authorities, selected through purposive sampling.
