Ítem Acceso Abierto Beneficios de las actividades acuáticas en escolares: revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2025) Erreyes Guaman, Jonathan Vinicio; Bravo Navarro, Wilson Hernando; 0302285093This study addresses the issue of the lack of aquatic activities among schoolchildren, considering their impact on their holistic development since these activities fight against sedentary lifestyles, improve physical health, and promote social and emotional skills in school-aged children. This research aims to analyze, through a literature review, the physical, psychological, and social benefits of these activities. The methodology was qualitative and descriptive, based on a review of scientific literature published between 2018 and 2024. Relevant articles published in Spanish, English, and Portuguese were selected, excluding theses and other non-academic works. The sources included databases such as SciELO, Redalyc, and Scopus, ensuring the validity of the results. Among the most relevant findings, aquatic activities strengthened the cardiovascular system, developed fundamental motor skills such as balance and coordination, and improved children's confidence and socialization. Additionally, these activities help overcome the fear of water and provide significant psychological and emotional benefits. In conclusion, aquatic activities are an educational and recreational tool that contributes to the overall well-being of schoolchildren. Their inclusion in the educational environment can promote healthy lifestyles and enhance essential skills for their holistic development. One of the main challenges is developing explosive strength, an essential ability for executing movements such as jumps and sprints. Plyometric training has proven to be an effective tool for this purpose, combining strength and speed to enhance muscle power and sports performance. This study aims to analyze the relationship between plyometric training and explosive strength development in soccer players through a literature review. The methodology followed a qualitative-descriptive approach, analyzing 35 studies, of which 20 met the inclusion criteria. These studies, published from 2018 to 2024, focused on the impact of this type of training on soccer players of different ages and categories. The results reveal that a well-structured plyometric program improves explosive strength, speed, agility, and endurance, significantly benefiting the lower body. Key variables such as program duration (7-12 weeks), frequency (2-3 sessions per week), and personalization are crucial for maximizing results and reducing injury risks. In conclusion, the relationship between plyometric training and the development of explosive strength in soccer players positively improves explosive strength. It enhances other physical abilities, such as speed, agility, and endurance. Its personalized implementation optimizes sports performance, reinforcing its relevance in the comprehensive physical preparation of soccer players. As a preventive and therapeutic strategy, physical activity has gained relevance for its positive influence on psychological well-being. Therefore, this research aimed to analyze the influence of physical activity on young people's mental health through a literature review. The methodology employed had a qualitative approach with a descriptive scope, utilizing information sources from digital databases and prioritizing scientific articles in Spanish published in the last 10 years. Thirty-two articles were included in this research, while theses and monographs were excluded. The results revealed that regular physical activity is associated with improved mood, reduced stress levels, decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression, and increased self-esteem and overall well-being. Additionally, physical exercise promotes the regulation of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, which are essential for emotional balance, and contributes to developing social skills through group activities. In conclusion, regular physical activity not only improves the physical health of young people but also plays a crucial role in strengthening their mental health. Thus, it is recommended that programs that promote physical exercise be implemented in schools, families, and communities as an integral part of mental health care.
