It is also defined as the lack of precaution to maintain oral health, the lack of necessary dental care and the physical negligence of the oral cavity. AIM: To relate the level of economic income and negligence to dental care in patients over 65 years old, belonging to the Cañaribamba parish period August 2017 - April 2018 MATERIALS AND METHODS: This research has a quantitative approach, with a case design and controls, relational type and a transverse temporality. We analyzed the variables income level and negligence to dental care through the odds rattio statistic. RESULTS: The male sex is the most negligent with 15 cases against 12 of the women. The ages with the highest incidence of dental neglect are 66-68-69-70-72- and 75 with 3 cases each age. An odds ratio of 1 was obtained with a confidence interval of (0.4493 - 2.226). CONCLUSIONS: The male sex is the most negligent with 15 cases against 12 of the women. The ages with the highest incidence of dental neglect are 66-68-69-70-72- and 75 with 3 cases each age. The economic class that has the highest dental negligence count is the one that receives economic income below 375 dollars.
