- ÍtemSolo MetadatosDiseño y desarrollo de un sistema integral de gestión para el seguimiento de estudiantes interesados en una carrera universitaria(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Castro Salinas, Yessenia Graciela; Faicán Cabrera, Pablo Javier; Campoverde Molina, Milton AlfredoThe accompaniment of students in choosing a career in universities is fundamental. In addition, monitoring and communication with students in the enrollment process is essential to avoid inconveniences. Therefore, this research aims to develop an integral management system for the follow-up of pre-enrolled and enrolled students in a university career of the Academic Unit of Informatics, Computer Science, and Technological Innovation of the Catholic University of Cuenca. The methodology used includes requirements analysis, database design, prototype development, implementation, and evaluation of the system. As a result, the following modules were developed in the system: a general listing of records, a dashboard for the generation of statistical graphs, sending of mass messages via WhatsApp and emails, a listing of message records, and an interface for the management of careers, academic periods and users of the system. In conclusion, this system has improved how communication, follow-up, and administration of pre-registrants and registrants are managed, overcoming the old practices based on scattered Excel files.
- ÍtemEmbargoPrototipo de software para la enseñanza-aprendizaje de braille(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Alulema Asqui, Santiago Alberto; Campoverde Molina, Milton Alfredo; 0105784847Education is a fundamental human right and must be intercultural and inclusive. Teaching methodologies and technological tools used for teaching-learning must take into account that there are groups of people with disabilities, such as visual impairment. The objective of this research is to implement a software prototype for the teaching and learning of braille to contribute to the education of the boy or girl with this condition. Thus, it is possible for the student to access varied information on the Internet and recreational and expression spaces such as games and blogs. For the development of this software prototype, the waterfall methodology was selected. The developed system is considered friendly by both students and teachers, and allowed an improvement in the memory ability and motor capacity of the students. However, the system is in its initial phase of development and functionalities will continue to be added that will fully address the contents of the Language and Literature subject. This research shows that the integration between technology and inclusive education is possible.
