- ÍtemSolo Metadatos"Factores éticos que influyen en la toma de decisiones gerenciales en el sector cooperativo"(Universidad Católica de Cuenca, 2023) Mainato Pomavilla, Juana Belén; Orbe Guaraca, Priscila; 030178766-3Nowadays, it has become noticeable that there is decision-making without ethical quality in the credit union industry. It has given rise to social, economic, and institutional regulatory problems. In Cañar city, unreliable principles have led leaders not to make transparent decisions, forgetting that ethical factors are essential in management. This research aimed to analyze the ethical factors that influence decision-making in management in the credit union industry in Cañar. Several Savings and Credit Cooperatives such as: “Cañar Ltd,” “Yuyay,” “Mushuc Runa,” “Achik Inti,” “Fernando Daquilema,” “Sol de los Andes,” “CB Cooperativa,” “Cooperco Ltd,” “Coopac Austro Ltd,” and “Atlántida” collaborated in developing this research. The methodology used was quantitative and qualitative with a correlational approach; thus, a survey-type instrument was applied to the credit unions mentioned above. Among the results observed, it was found that ethical factors such as honesty, responsibility, respect, loyalty, democracy, equality, and honesty are aspects that are directly related to management decision-making in the credit union industry since they depend on each other for ethical excellence. Therefore, this research shows that ethical behavior is neglected and does not make it possible to obtain predestined results, even if compensated with achievements and objectives, despite acting without professional ethics outside the established norms. Keywords: ethics, credit union, behavior, decision-making
- ÍtemSolo MetadatosGestión de talento humano un estudio en la EMMAIPC-EP- Cañar(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Tapia Nivelo, Yessica Matilde; Orbe Guaraca, Priscila; 030294680-1Management models allow to have a broad conceptual framework for the operation of a company. For this reason, this research aims to evaluate the human talent management of the Empresa Pública Municipal Mancomunada de Aseo Integral del Pueblo Cañari (Cañari Municipal public company for integral town cleaning) (EMMAIPC-EP by its Spanish Acronym) in Cañar through a quantitative research approach. It allowed the analysis of data collected during a field research using a questionnaire applied to all employees of EMMAIPC-EP. The results show that academic staff training and development processes within the institution are good; however, staff training, staff performance appraisals, and the work environment are poor according to the respondents. In conclusion, the human talent management processes in the company include parameters or variables that are not covered, which causes workers to lose motivation and perform poorly. Therefore, the proposal of strategies to improve this reality remains open for future research. Keyword: management model, emmaipc-ep, employees, evolution, human talent.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoResponsabilidad social empresarial: Caso de estudio en Cbvisión de la ciudad de Cañar(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) NIVELO CORDOVA, GABRIELA ESTEFANIA; Orbe Guaraca, Priscila; 0302040282At present, companies assume the challenge of high responsibility levels in their practices, considering both social problems and environmental demands faced by civilization today due to the same business activities developed without environmental awareness nor dimensioning their negative impacts. Therefore, it is of interest to know the level of corporate social responsibility of the different companies to promote this type of practice. This research focused on the case of the internet and cable television service company Cb-Visión in Cañar. An exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative approach was used for data collection. A Likert scale questionnaire was adapted for a population of 20 employees at the institution in order to determine the level of commitment and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The research was also complemented with a quantitative narrative analysis through data obtained in an interview with the company manager. The results showed high levels of commitment, but there are also shortcomings in compliance with the human rights of vulnerable groups, a lack of proactive environmental attitudes, being this a common factor in all companies, and the absence of proposals for environmental education and restoration. Keywords: social responsibility, private company, environment
