| dc.description | "One of the most important characteristics of concrete is its compressive strength (f'c). It has been proven that mixtures made with identical additions, w/c ratio, and different cementitious materials provide different results, with variations of 3%, 11%,, and 25% between efforts at 28, 56, and 84 days of a mixture and another. Worldwide, it is known that there are several methods and forms to calculate the f'c of a dosage; corrently, in Ecuador, it is possible to determine the efficiency whith the compression test of cores, developed in 28 days. Several countries have set up the Maturity Method in their standards as a source of information to know the resistance of a mix. This method is based on the use of temperature histograms to calculate the maturity index (temperature accumulation) and its relation with the resistance reached at a particular stage with a controlled cure, allowing improving performance or execution times, such as stripping; showing a saving according to the scale of the project. The method provides a mathematical model, which shows two constants, ""A"" and ""B,"" that, together with the logarithm of maturity index, provide strength approximations of up to 7% at 28 days regarding in-press crushing tests. The mathematical model and its constants differ according to type of cementitious material; in this study, an analysis is carried out with type GU hydraulic cement. " | es_ES |
