Ítem Acceso Abierto Análisis de prefactibilidad técnica en aerogeneradores sin aspas para sectores rurales del Cantón El Tambo(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Cazho Mainato, Jorge Luis; Icaza Alvarez, Daniel Orlando; 0302627112This research carries out a technical prefeasibility analysis for the implementation of a bladeless wind turbine system in the rural community of Marcopamba, located in the canton of El Tambo in Ecuador. The wind potential of the area is analyzed by obtaining and processing historical wind speed data. This determines the technical viability of the project, estimating the maximum installable power and annual energy generation. A prototype of a bladeless wind turbine is sized to meet the electrical demand of 35 families. Finally, a system simulation is carried out using software, evaluating its behavior. Statistical distributions such as Weibull are applied to analyze the wind speed data. The battery storage system is also sized to store the generated energy. A 20-year cost-benefit analysis, concluding that the project is technically feasible. The use of renewable sources allows sustainable rural development through clean and low-cost energy. The results of the study showed that the bladeless wind turbine produced 4.13 kWh per day for an individual house and 144.16 kWh for 35 houses.
