This research focuses on the comparative analysis of three fundamental tools used in decision-making: ChatGPT, Excel, and ABPOM (POM QM), through a multidimensional approach that combines quantitative and qualitative aspects. In addition, the capabilities, advantages, and challenges of each tool in diverse decision-making contexts are examined. The comprehensive analysis involves practical exercises in actual and simulated situations, allowing a detailed evaluation of how each device addresses typical problems in Industrial Engineering. The results provide a deep understanding of the advantages and limitations of each tool, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use. Furthermore, specific scenarios where each tool might be more suitable are identified, providing practical guidance for professionals and decision-makers. This study not only contributes to the existing literature in the field of Industrial Engineering and data-driven decision-making but also offers specific recommendations for optimizing decision-making processes in business environments. As technology plays a crucial role in enhancing efficiency and accuracy, this comparative analysis becomes a valuable resource for those seeking to maximize these tools’ benefits in strategic and operational decision-making.
