Ítem Acceso Abierto Calidad de vida de los pacientes con VIH sida del hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, junio-diciembre 2019(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2019) Guamán Gañay, Mélida Isabel; Romero Sacoto, Lilian Azucena; 0302246244; ., .Objective: To analyze the quality of life in relation to the adherence to retroviral treatment and the nutritional level in patients with HIV AIDS of the Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo. Method: Qualitative, Quantitative, Relational, cross-sectional study. Technique: Survey. Instruments: MOS HIV SF 30 validated survey to assess the quality of life, the SMAQ questionnaire to assess adherence to treatment and the Krece Plus Test to assess the nutritional level. Sample: census consisting of 32 patients with HIV. Results: 50% of patients are between 30-39 years old, the sex most affected is the male with 65.6%, 59.4% live in urban areas, 50% do not consume narcotic or alcohol, 84.4% did not have comorbidities, in terms of adherence to treatment, 56.3% are adherents, 53,1% have a low nutritional level. Survey MOS HIV SF 30 determined that 43.8% perceived their quality of life as bad, the dimensions with percentages less than 50% were: physical function, discomfort with regard to health, quality of life perceived during the last month; and with respect to nutritional habits, 53.1% have a low nutritional level. The application of Chi square shows correlation between the variables quality of life, adherence to treatment and nutritional level with statistical significance of p = 0.5 and p = 0.06 respectively. Conclusion: The nutritional level and adherence to treatment influences the quality of life of patients.
