Ítem Acceso Abierto Trombólisis vs trombectomía por angioplastia en el accidente cerebrovascular isquémico(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Cajas Morales, July Elizabeth; Idrovo Vásquez, Víctor Aníbal; 0302911326; ., .Introduction: Stroke is a clinical entity characterized by signs and symptoms of rapid progression. It lasts approximately 24 hours, and since it is considered a medical emergency, treatment depends on its timely diagnosis. Objective: To compare studies on thrombolysis and thrombectomy by angioplasty in ischemic stroke. Methodology: Bibliographic review of scientific databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Cochrane, and Open Science Journal on articles, reviews, meta-analyses, and literature published in Ecuador and internationally in the last five years in Spanish and English. Results: The following results were evidenced mRS 0- 2 at 90 days favoring direct EVT, fulfilled the established non-inferiority criteria -15%, -10%, -6.5%, and -5%. Functional independence 46.0% (EVT) and 45.5% (IVT plus EVT), risk difference 1% (95% CI: -4% to 5%), lower limit 95% CI of -4%, absence of disability 25.6% (EVT) and 24.2% (IVT plus EVT) risk difference 1% (95% CI: -3% to 5%), lower limit 95% CI of -3%. Conclusion: Reperfusion therapies depend on the appearance of symptomatology and the site of the occlusion without ignoring the warning signs that give guidelines on the progress of the pathology. However, studies show excellent results either with thrombolytic or direct endovascular therapy in reducing future disability and intracranial hemorrhage.
