Through a hydrological analysis, this study presents a strategy for water supply in Azogues city: the construction of a reservoir that supplies water to the urban and rural areas, for this the basin of the Molobog and Llaucay sectors was delimited utilizing GIS software. Likewise, the number of the curve of each basin was analyzed to apply the AHP multicriteria election process, where Molobog resulted to be the most favorable. The water balance was based on a runoff volume through the HEC-HMS software using the SCS methodology with design hyetograms determined by two procedures: alternating and triangular blocks. In addition, the analysis of potential evapotranspiration was conducted using the method proposed by Thornthwaite. An ecological flow of 10\% was considered concerning the average monthly flow, thus obtaining the monthly accumulation volume of water, presenting a 45m height reservoir that will supply 20\% of the required demand.
