The present work contains the design and technical economic analysis from a multifamily housing with and without hystereticps energy dissipaters type ADAS which has three floors, its structural elements are made of ASTM 36 Steel (beams and columns). The housing with and without dissipaters was subjected to an earthquake with the features from one of the areas of high probability of seismic risk in Ecuador like it is the case of Manabi which is inside zone 6, the building with and without ADAS dissipaters fulfills the established parameters in the Ecuadorian Construction Norm (NEC). The ADAS dissipaters were placed in the building together with its supports (diagonals) in such a way that they dissipate energy that is induced by an earthquake, trying to avoid the housing collapse or severe damage of it. In the structure with and without dissipaters was applied a static and dynamic linear spectral modal analysis, then was compared its behavior, costs and obtained displacements in both cases.
