Ítem Acceso Abierto Evaluación de rotondas y propuestas de diseño para el caso de la autopista Azogues - Cuenca(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2019) Lozano Jachero, Luisa Cristina; Romero González, Rómulo Ricardo; 0302711775; ., .This applied research work in Traffic Engineering develops an analysis of the evaluation of flow parameters, geometric design, functionality and level of service presented by the Azogues – Cuenca Highroad, emphasizing the three roundabouts located on the road: Zhullín, La Dolorosa and Bellavista. In this specific places, it was elaborated a vehicular count to determine the composition of the traffic; geometric measurements and a functionality analysis of the elements of the road for an evaluation according to the current regulations in Ecuador, and a brief analysis of the accident rate in the conflict zones of each of the roundabouts that were studied. Finally, it was proposed an alternative re-design for a projected traffic according to the growth of the vehicle fleet in the studied area, supported by statistical data provided by Ministry of Transport and Public Works, the government office of mobility in the country.Ítem Acceso Abierto Evaluación del impacto vial y dispositivos de control de la avenida Alberto Ochoa del cantón Biblian(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2019) Tapia Pesántez, María Fernanda; Romero González, Rómulo Ricardo; 0302293329; ., .The main objective of this academic work is to evaluate the whole road impact of Alberto Ochoa Avenue in Biblián city, which study has as content the level of service based on a collection of field information through a vehicle count that was made during eight days and twelve continuous hours. It was really important for the calculation of the average of the geometric information, control devices referring to horizontal and vertical signaling and traffic lights at the two intersections which have that device and if it is necessary the implementation of the mentioned aspects along the analyzed road.Ítem Acceso Abierto Hormigones autocompactantes con áridos de la provincia del Azuay sector Paute y Santa Isabel(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2018) López Buri, Raúl Mauricio; Nieto Cárdenas, Jaime Xavier; 0302308531; ., .Self-compacting concrete (SAC) is a highly fluid concrete, it fills all the spaces of the formwork, has the ability to pass through high amounts of steel by which conventional concrete cannot reach, therefore no requires no type of compaction, but the mixture must be extremely cohesive; thus giving excellent and favorable results. There are technical specifications from EFNARC and ACI, describing similar procedures to analyze and verify the characteristics that must be meet a freshly mixed self-compacting concrete; furthermore, for the dosage of this concrete there are only tables of proportions of the materials for the manufacture of HAC to which they should be adjusted. Before manufacturing the HAC, there were flaws in the structures built with concrete due to poor compaction and poor hand quality work, causing damage and low durability of the concrete, for this reason it was created this type of concrete to guarantee self-compacting without the need mechanical compaction and workers. At the moment in the region there is a partial ignorance of concrete studied, but in the world there have been applications of HAC presenting good results; However, in the present work carrying out studies and investigations, it has been determined that the materials used for the designs of experienced concrete, they are able to make concrete self-compacting, but taking into account the specifications given for these concretes. 210kg/cm², 240 kg/cm² and 300 kg/cm² resistance concretes were designed with Azuay aggregates, a type III cement (distinguished for presenting high resistance to early ages), highly reducing additives of water and in turn drinking water; These concretes comply with the tests that characterize concretes self-compacting The resistance tests were carried out from cylinders of concrete at 28 days of age. In the end, all the results of validated designs were collected as well as of designs rejected, in addition to the evaluation of the costs of self-compacting concrete in relation to conventional concrete and conclusions were presented.Ítem Acceso Abierto Tecnificación del riego parcelario mediante la aplicación de hojas excel(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2018) Campoverde Bautista, Wilson Javier; Illescas Cárdenas, Paúl Esteban; 0301547287; ., .The main objective of this project is to contribute to the modernization of plot irrigation through Excel programming, to provide technical help in terms of the design of irrigation systems used in the Province of Cañar, which will be gravity and pressurized. . The most used systems must be determined and thus elaborate a properly structured spreadsheet, in which factors related to the Province of Cañar will be found, such as: the type of soil, slopes of the land, and cultivation, all these factors are They will be analyzed in their critical value for the design of the different systems. The present work is fully focused on the technical design of the irrigation systems, achieving a streamlining in the obtaining of data for the design of these, and somehow achieving a greater use of irrigation methods in the plots, improving the way in which water is used for agricultural production
