Ítem Acceso Abierto “Evaluación del desarrollo en niños de 2 a 4 años desde la perspectiva parenteral. Guacaleo, agosto-octubre 2022”(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Zhunio Muy, Jonnathan Patricio; Godoy Durán, Elvia Narcisa; 0106190754; ., .Introduction: Children's development is how they mentally order information. Cognitive development results from the infants' effort to understand and be part of the world around them; it allows children to mature through benefits related to order, adaptation, and balance. Objective: To evaluate growth in children from 2 to 4 years of age from a parental perspective. Methodology: A mixed study with a qualitative-quantitative, observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach was conducted using the survey technique, applying two validated questionnaires to the participants. The study population was parents of children aged 2 to 4 years attending a children's center. Results: The average age of the parents in the study population was 30 years old, with a higher prevalence of 75.2% in females, 47.5% of the parents were high school graduates, 98% were married, 73.3% belonged to the urban sector, and 52% of the parents expressed concern for their children's development. Conclusion: Children's development is influenced by parents since family interactions positively affect their growth; more than half of the studied population are satisfied with their kids' progress.
