Ítem Acceso Abierto Relación de la tasa de fertilidad en cobayos con las características espermáticas y ultrasonografía testicular durante el periodo de empadre(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Zambrano Flores, Carlos Eduardo; Vidal Vidal , José Guillermo; 0107151169The objective of the present investigation was to relate the density of the mating, the sperm characteristics, the ultrasonographic characteristics and the fertility rate in guinea pigs; For sperm evaluation, seminal samples were obtained by electrical stimulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic fibers that innervate the male genital tract. These evaluations were obtained from each male guinea pig before breeding, obtaining the following results, average volume of 0.28 ± 0.162 ml, an average motility of 72 ± 21.1%, an average concentration of 31.89 ± 11.818x106 / ml, a percentage sperm membrane functionality of 77 ± 10.7%, the percentage abnormalities of 23 ± 10.7% and an average vitality of 77 ± 8.1%; and obtaining a valuation of two treatments of mating 1♂ / 7♀ (T1); and 1♂ / 15♀ (T2) obtaining the following results: average volume of 0.33 ± 0.08 ml, an average motility of 75 ± 9%, an average concentration of 38 ± 5x106 / ml, a percentage sperm membrane functionality of 78 ± 0.5%, the percentage abnormalities of 24 ± 1% and an average vitality of 75 ± 7%; and determining the analysis of its fertility rate of the treatments T1 of 92.85% and T2 of 80%, determined the best fertility rate in comparison of the 2 treatments applied; The application of ultrasonography to measure testicular size, we determined that the evaluation before the mating was 25.2 ± 4.64 mm and after the mating it was 25.8 ± 4.74 mm.
