Ítem Acceso Abierto Intervención de enfermería en pacientes con shock séptico(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Criollo Maldonado , Luisa Catalina; Yupa Saeteros , Rosa Mercedes; Quito Peralta , Jenniffer Nataly; 0106208606; 0302580824Septic shock is a secondary circulatory, metabolic, and cellular dysfunction resulting in multiorgan failure. Objective: To conduct a literature review on Nursing Interventions in Patients with Septic Shock. Methodology: This research is a narrative literature review through the search of documents and articles in scientific databases such as Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed, Medigraphic, Scielo, Redalyc, CINAHL, and WHO. Results: The prevalence of septic shock is more frequent in developed countries; it is one of the primary mortality rates in intensive care units. The prominent people affected by this pathology are elderly adults due to the different physiological changes during this stage; it also causes organic dysfunctions. The used treatment is vasopressors, antibiotics, and infusion of liquids. Conclusion: The nurse is a fundamental part of managing patients with septic shock because they are in direct contact with them and are responsible for their care; therefore, they must have the necessary knowledge to carry out these processes.
