Ítem Acceso Abierto Lo informal: propuesta de un circuito de promoción artesanal para la Parroquia Turi a partir del diseño urbano – arquitectónico(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Yunga Chicaiza, Pablo Vinicio; Yunga Quezada, Marco Adrian; Contreras Escandón, Christian Hernán; 0106641558; 0106019797The informal trade in the Turi parish has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by the area's tourism potential, the low employment demand, and the need for economic survival. This phenomenon not only negatively impacts the local economy but also deteriorates the urban environment, generating pedestrian congestion and affecting the quality of public space. This thesis is justified by the need to regulate informal trade to improve the urban image and strengthen tourism and formal commerce. It is proposed that a space for micro-entrepreneurs be designed, which could positively impact the local economy and the quality of life for residents. To achieve this, a promotional artisan circuit is proposed to relocate informal trade, connecting the central square with a parking area for the Turi Parish Center. Finally, it is suggested that the organization of public space be improved and the working conditions of informal traders enhanced, thereby contributing to urban revitalization and the formalization of commerce, benefiting both the economy and the social and urban environment.
