Objective: To conduct a bibliographic review of nursing interventions in patients with Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Methodology: The present research involves a narrative-type bibliographic review. It is derived from searching scientific articles in indexed databases such as Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Springer Link, and Redalyc. Results: SJS maintains fluctuating prevalence values in various regions. At the Latin American level, it is difficult to determine its frequency due to the heterogeneity of the cases. Therefore, the list of risk factors is diverse, given the intrinsic reaction of each organism. The most evidenced association is related to drugs (anticonvulsants, anticancer drugs, vaccines, antibiotics, cycloxygenase-2 inhibitors, allopurinol). The most commonly described complications are those affecting the skin and mucous membranes, and blindness is considered the most important permanent sequel. Conclusions: Managing SJS should address the individual needs of affected individuals. The nursing staff plays a crucial role in ensuring favorable outcomes due to their proximity to the patient. Despite the absence of standardized protocols, primary interventions focus on infection prevention, wound care, comfort management, nutrition, and prevention of fluid imbalance.
