The same one that received temporary treatment with mecasermine. Clinical discussion: Treatment with mecasermin was started with a weight of 9.8 kg and a height of 89.2 cm. Seven months later, intracranial hypertension manifested itself, which is why the drug was suspended for three months, and later it was resumed at low doses. Conclusion: Laron syndrome is a rare condition that is characterized by a marked short stature; currently, the only treatment to improve the development of height is the administration of mecasermin, which had beneficial results for the investigated patient.
