Objective: Is to determine the factors associated with the quality of life of older adults cared for at the Azogues Popular Medical Center. Materials and methods: Quantitative studies, descriptive, Cross-sectional correlation, with a sample of 182 older adults, using the WHOQOL-OLD quality of life questionnaire, the Yesavage geriatric Depression Scale, Lawton & Brody scale, and socioeconomic level stratification survey (INEC). Data were tabulated using the Microsoft Excel version 2010 and SPSS V18 statistical package. Results: Of the 182 older adults studied, 67.6% perceive their quality of life as fairly good. Regarding sociodemographic characteristics it was obtained that the prevalence age is 65-74 years (45.6%), female sex (65.4%), married (43.4%), primary education (70.9%), occupations domestic chores (52.7%), rural residence (68.7%), coexistence marital (38.5%), catholic religion (92.3%), low socioeconomic level (80.2%) with a 44% of independence and activity and a 50% without depression. The prevalent diseases were: Cardiovascular (44.5%), endocrine (14.3%), muscle-skeletal (14.3%) and respiratory (8.8%). Conclusions: There is a statistically significant relationship between quality of life and age, sex, marital status, education, residency, coexistence, religion, activity, depression scale, socioeconomic level, and morbidity.
