The general objective of this research is to analyze theoretically the relationship between psychomotor skills and the cognitive development of children from 3 to 4 years of age, since the integral development of the infant directly influences the cognitive, affective, and social environment, the same that occurs in the first years of life. For this qualitative research, a descriptive bibliographic documentary method was used, searching different articles and scientific journals using scientific databases such as Redalyc, Scopus, and Scielo and being of great help to the digital repository of the Catholic University of Cuenca.
