Ítem Acceso Abierto Negligencia al cuidado dental en habitantes de la parroquia El Valle, Cuenca 2021(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Tayupanda Vaca, Lizbeth Alexandra; Andrade Molina, Gloria Azucena; 1400957914Objective: To determine neglect of dental care in the inhabitants of the parish of El Valle, Cuenca 2021. Materials and methods: A quantitative study was conducted with a descriptive, communicational, current cross-sectional design. The sample size for this study consisted of 377 adults from the Parish of El Valle, Cuenca-Ecuador, to whom the Thomson's Dental Care Neglect Scale (DSN) was applied, consisting of 6 questions that refer to dental care neglect; similarly, this study was evaluated using the Chi-square statistical analysis. Results: The frequency of dental care neglect was more evident in the 18-25 years age range with 11%; while the female gender was more prevalent with 57%. Conclusion: The percentage of dental neglect in adults in the Parish of "El Valle" is not considered to be high.
