Objective: To determine the difficulties that influence the application of the nursing care process at Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, Cuenca 2023. Methodology: In this research, the observational study with a cross-sectional quantitative approach was used with a sample of 149 nursing professionals. Results: The majority of the population studied was female gender of 78%, with a mean age of 34 and an average of 6 years of service. The level of knowledge and motivation is ideal at 60.4% in the application of the Nursing Care Plan (NCP). As to institutional limitations, 67.1 % have a regular score, while 30.9 % obtained an optimal score. In regard to the level of implementation of the NCP, the findings obtained show that 83.9% comply optimally. When applying Pearson's R correlation coefficient, the values found are not statistically significant. In other words, there is no correlation between the sociodemographic characteristics and the implementation of stages of the NCP implementation. In conclusion, despite having scientific knowledge about the nursing care plan, many nursing professionals who work on the various services of Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital (HVCM by its Spanish acronym) do not use it optimally.
