Direct and indirect soundings were conducted on the property in the parish of Racar, in Cuenca, following the standards established by ASTM regulations. This area is geologically located in the Piedmont deposits, characterized by clays and clasts. Regarding the SPT tests, a maximum depth of 4.50 meters was reached, while geophysical methods enabled exploration up to 40 meters. Soil samples obtained through the SPT were classified as clays and silts according to the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) and as type D soil according to geophysical analysis and the Ecuadorian Construction Standard regulations (NEC by its Spanish acronym). Based on the data obtained in the field and the laboratory, correlation formulas were established with an excellent approximation in clay soils, except for the friction angle, which is more related to sandy soils. These equations can be applied in future projects as long as the calculated maximum values are respected.
