Meanwhile, exposure to violence encompasses any form of violent action, whether physical, emotional, psychological, or economic, against adolescents through any medium, such as television, at school, or home. Objective: To determine the prevalence of filio-parental violence related to exposure to violence among adolescents enrolled in the provinces of Cañar and Azuay within Zone 6. Methodology: This is a non-experimental study with a quantitative methodological approach. It has a cross-sectional and correlational scope, with a sample of 221 adolescents (aged 12 to 18) enrolled in three Educational Centers in Zone 6. Instruments: Sociodemographic Ad-hoc Form, Child-to-Parent Violence (CPV-Q), Exposure to Violence Questionnaire (EV-Q). Results: The results revealed differences concerning the aggressor's sex and the type of violence perpetrated, with the predominance of instrumental and reactive reasons varying according to the aggressor's gender, and for exposure to violence, the most prevailing was indirect exposure in childhood. Conclusions: The prevalent form of violence against parents is control-dominance repeatedly by daughters over their mothers, which establishes a significant correlation with indirect exposure in childhood.
