Ítem Acceso Abierto El humor como estrategia de afrontamiento ante una crisis.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Ramírez Romero, Leandro M.; Vintimilla Espinoza, María J.; 0706159100Introduction: The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of humor as a coping strategy in a crisis by gathering information on theories of human development to understand, from an evolutionary and physiological point of view, the management of emotions and how certain coping strategies are acquired as a person grows older. Justification: It is necessary to understand what exactly it is to use a sense of humor when facing difficulties as such and what experts on the subject say about it, which together with the different coping strategies will allow us to understand what its benefits are when going through a crisis stage. Objective: To define the effectiveness of using humor as an emotional resource when facing a crisis. Methodology: The present research was qualitative-descriptive, where data were collected from various sources such as scientific journals of digital bases such as Redalyc, SciELO, and Dialnet, as well as books or reliable publications related to the initially stated objectives. Conclusions: It was found that humor can be used as an emotional resource when facing a crisis since it has been demonstrated that through an ironic vision seeking laughter within the stressful sensations would help to significantly reduce the negative effects that could be produced by them.
