It is a pathological condition that brings several maternal, fetal, and obstetric complications, even risking the normal continuity of pregnancy. Objective: To systematize the available scientific evidence on nursing care in patients with gestational diabetes through a meticulous and concise analysis of the literature. Methodology: This research is a Meta study that follows a systematic review, lacking the registration of a development protocol. It was carried out under the qualitative approach, based on twelve publications gathered from scientific databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, MedLine, SciELO, Redalyc, and other ProQuest databases from the Catholic University of Cuenca. Results: Gestational diabetes is the result of other hormones blockingthe insulin; that is, insulin resistance. Pregnant women with this type of diabetes require inclusive care to physically and mentally address this pathological condition, promoting the necessary care to recover their health and guarantee the continuum of the pregnancy until its end. Conclusion: Nursing care in patients with gestational diabetes has several actions to educate pregnant women and their family circle on how to cope with the disease and lifestyle changes that must be considered for diet, physical activity, and drug administration.
