Its primary etiology is fire, followed by physical complications such as limitation of movement, among others, and psychological, such as depression and anxiety, accompanied by therapeutic alternatives ranging from grafts to synthetic substitutes and more. Objective: To describe the quality of life in patients with third-degree burn complications and the use of therapeutic alternatives. Observations: Quality of life is measured by BSHS-B, SF-36, and EQ-5D; most of these items are recovered in the short term, excluding physical and emotional complications, such as anxiety, depression, and pain, since these need treatments such as physical and psychological support that go hand in hand with surgical treatment, which begin to see improvements in the long term. Conclusions: The quality of life is affected in patients’ physical, occupational, and mental aspects, which have been demonstrated with the different scales already mentioned, considering the complications that usually appear over time and how these scales helped patients to have a therapeutic alternative that goes according to their state of health due to the burn
