Ítem Acceso Abierto Análisis de un proceso de vinculación con la sociedad de la carrera de periodismo de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca: Caso de estudio Conagopare del Azuay(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Piedra Argudo, Mylena Marisol; Lojano Valverde, Carlos Antonio; 0106984982The purpose of the engagement with the society in the Catholic University of Cuenca is to form young people with principles of help and community participation, who know the reality of vulnerable people and how they can generate solutions to problems in the community.On the other hand, for students who take part in practice projects of engagement with the society it is an excellent experience, theycan share with the communities the reality of their daily life and this way they can know personally the effort that they make for the family welfare. In other words, the students applied various mechanisms to help mothers, children, adolescents, workers,and the elderly. Thus, the Catholic University of Cuenca in conjunction with the National Council of Rural Parish Governments of Ecuador (CONAGOPARE, in Spanish), has been involved in each of the programs and in the development of the different projects, to protect the most vulnerable communities in the province of Azuay. Furthermore, the Journalism school applies to the growth and progress of the country by preparing efficient and humanistic professionals to serve society
