Ítem Acceso Abierto Fijación percutánea en fractura de pelvis, acetábulo y articulación sacroiliaca. Reporte de caso.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Paredez Calle, Klever Esteban; Bravo Aguilar, Franklin Xavier; 0104462619Introduction: A fracture of the pelvis and acetabulum may involve several structures, whose treatment will depend on the type of fracture, whether it is displaced, if it involves the pelvic ring, or if it is reduced with maneuvers; therefore, a rigorous diagnosis must be made, emphasizing on analyzing the affected structures. This type of fracture is not usually expected, being its leading cause of a high-energy episode, which can be produced by automobile or work accidents, needing an adequate resolution to avoid possible complications in the future. Percutaneous fixation is a suitable, current, and effective treatment for pelvis and acetabulum fractures, showing fewer complications, such as decreased blood loss during the surgical process and reduced operating room time. Objective: To demonstrate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous fixation treatment in pelvis and acetabulum fractures. Methodology: A clinical case analysis was performed, plus a search of publications concerning meta-analysis and systematic analysis, where journals in quartiles Q1 - Q4 were selected. Conclusion: Percutaneous fixation, in this case, was adequate; the procedure did not have any alteration, achieving the objective of repairing the fracture; if we compare it with other surgical techniques, such as open reduction, then we can obtain better benefits, effectiveness, and fewer complications in the long, medium, and short term.
