Ítem Solo Metadatos Importancia de los radiotrazadores MDP, DTPA, MIBI marcados con Tc99m en diagnóstico de medicina nuclear(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Corte Juela, Christian José; Paredes Paredes, Kelly Muriel; Andrade Campoverde, Diego Paúl; 010738821-7; 070642195-5Nuclear medicine is a field of medical science in which many procedures are performed, including diagnostics using radiopharmaceuticals, also known as radiotracers, to study the functions of different organs of the human body and diagnose diseases effectively. Objective. To analyze the importance of radiotracers (MDP), (DTPA (MIBI) labeled with sodium pertechnetate administered in patients for diagnostic purposes in the area of nuclear medicine. Methodology. Descriptive observational study in systematic review following PRISMA guidelines, of studies found in Dialnet, Elsevier, Research, Redalyc PubMed, Google Scholar and Scielo, the inclusion criteria original articles published between 2010 to 2022. Studies in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Results. Of the 20 relevant articles that met the inclusion criteria of the search, the majority presented topics of MDP and MIBI radiotracers labeled with sodium pertechnetate in the diagnosis of parathyroid lesions, hyperparathyroidism, skeletal conditions, coronary artery disease and myocardial perfusion. It was possible to know the different studies that have been carried out with the use of tomographies such as PET/CT with different tracers that present good results, applied in cases of presurgical localization failure of gammagraphy. Conclusions. The importance of the selection of the ideal radiopharmaceutical depends on the type of study for the diagnosis of diseases, considering the efficacy of the different procedures of single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET), CT, as well as their combinations PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
