At the end of the 20th century, the use of prebiotics in infant formula was introduced, which proved to be very beneficial for the infant's body by reinforcing the consumer's intestinal microbiota and enhancing their immune system, thus achieving a great impact and an effect similar to that obtained from human milk. General objective: To identify the benefits of prebiotics that have been added to certain infant formulas in our environment. Methodology: An exhaustive literature review has been conducted to analyze and collect data based on the benefits of prebiotics implemented in infant formula, using specific inclusion criteria. Articles not relevant to the topic have been excluded, and the search has been carried out through databases such as Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science, employing search terms and Boolean operators such as (AND, OR, NOT). Expected results: Identification and analysis of the benefits of prebiotics currently implemented in infant formula.
