    This degree project aims to design a preliminary design of a mixed-use facility, particularly the implementation of a Health Care and Education Center for the inhabitants of the "Cerro Monjas Huayco" sector since such a facility for most of their users is required. The objective is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, who cannot access these services within the sector and, therefore, opt to travel long distances to the parish of Turi or the downtown of Cuenca. Thanks to this project, the urban-architectural characteristics have been increased, which helps the economy by adding a garden terrace (above the educational center), which serves as a viewpoint of the city and its surroundings, enhancing the local tourism industry, which is currently under development. The study responds to a clear and urgent need that became evident in the qualitative and quantitative studies. This contribution aims to restore the currently deteriorated condition of the area.
