Ítem Acceso Abierto Enfermería en la prevención de complicaciones en gestantes con hipertensión arterial(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Mejia Matute, Katheryn Silvana; Jaya Vásquez, Lilia Carina; 1400971428Introduction: Arterial hypertension in pregnant women is considered to be responsible for high maternal-fetal morbimortality, and is cataloged as a serious public health problem worldwide. It has a multisystemic character with several variables, where the most prevalent is preeclampsia, together with its complications eclampsia and Hellp syndrome. Objective: To analyze the available scientific evidence and describe the nursing intervention in the prevention of complications in pregnant women with arterial hypertension. Methodology: An analysis of scientific data was carried out, and after a critical reading, 43 articles, 5 guides published in the official websites of the WHO, the MOH of Ecuador, the MOH of Guatemala, and the IMSS of Mexico were used, as well as 2 updated publications in these websites and 2 books on the subject. Results: After an exhaustive literature review, it was found that hypertensive disorders are the most common complications of pregnancy, with developing countries having the highest prevalence rate. The etiology of the disorder is unknown, and the WHO, in conjunction with the different public health entities, establishes the protocols applicable in each case. Conclusion: Based on the literature review, nursing staff should know they care, protocols, and interventions to be performed in case of hypertensive disorders in pregnant women, to provide quality health care and prevent complications associated with this pathology.
