Ítem Embargo Comparación de las resinas Bulk Fill y las resinas compuestas convencionales en relación a la profundidad de curado. Revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Medrano Mestanza, Emily Dayanne; Cordero López, María Augusta; 201800919CONTEXT: Bulk-fill resins have emerged as innovative restorative materials that enable a greater depth of cure in a single step. They can effectively cure in thicker layers, facilitating and accelerating the restorative procedure. The importance of depth of cure lies in ensuring adequate strength, stability, and longevity of the dental restoration. OBJECTIVE: To review and analyze the existing scientific information to make a comparison between Bulk-Fill resins and conventional composite resins about the depth of cure, to provide updated and reliable information that can be useful for making clinical decisions in the field of restorative dentistry and also to provide updated information to improve the quality of care offered to patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: One hundred twenty-four studies were compiled from ResearchGate, PubMed, ScienceDirect, SciELO, Google Scholar databases, and the repository of the Catholic University of Cuenca. Finally, 35 articles were included in this literature review. CONCLUSIONS: Bulk-fill resins offer significant advantages in deep polymerization and more efficient placement of thicker layers. However, it is essential to ensure proper selection of the polymerization light source and consider aspects such as the quality and duration of the lamp and the specific composition and shade of the composite resin employed.
