Una revisión sistemática(Universidad Católica de Cuenca, 2022-07-01) Mayancela Nivelo, Narcisa de Jesús; Yamasqui Padilla, Isidro; 030233081-6Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 myths and beliefs worldwide generate fear coming to affect psychological, social and economic health in society, that is why people appeal to old preventive methods to treat this new virus like gargling -with salt water or eucalyptus plant infusions. Objective: To scientifically proof the information available on myths and beliefs regarding the care and prevention for SarsCov-2. Materials and Methods: A systematic and descriptive review was carried out under the prism methodology and keywords such as myths, beliefs, care, prevention, SARS-CoV-2 were used to do the research. AND and OR Boolean operators, the inclusion criteria, 19 original articles both in Spanish and English were also taken from different sources such as Pubmed, Google Scholar, and Virtual Health Library. Likewise, monographs, abstracts, essays, incomplete and duplicate articles were excluded from the research. Findings/Discussion: Nine categories such as: breastfeeding beliefs, poor knowledge regarding sars-cov-2, covid-19 children's incidence, covid-19 treatment myth, covid-19 beliefs about alternative medicine, the internet and COVID 19 beliefs were created through the collection of 19 articles to be included in this study. Conclusion: 24% of people do not believe in the existence of Sars-Cov-2 and that is why they refuse to take the vaccine to avoid enriching the big laboratories or just for fear of having a chip implanted in their body. There are women with poor knowledge of COVID 19 during the breastfeeding period. Keywords: myths, beliefs, prevention, infection, sars-cov2.
