Ítem Acceso Abierto El abandono a la cultura: intervención arquitectónica de la Plazoleta Santa Ana Cuenca - Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Márquez Barreto, William Renato; Torres Quezada, Jefferson Eloy; 0104940887; García Calle, Anthony AlxanderThe Santa Ana Square, also known as the "hippies' park," is a fundamental part of Cuenca's history and culture due to its artistic contribution to the city. However, the lack of proper equipment and infrastructure designed and adapted to the activity model leads to issues of organization, cleanliness, and even damage to raw materials due to the weather conditions without adequate protection. The intervention of Santa Ana Square is driven by its strategic location in Cuenca; thus, this research aims to make it mandatory for sightseeing for people seeking relevant places within the city. It is worth mentioning that the factors contributing to this condition include the closeness to Calderón Park and the tram line, making it an observable point that generates interest in the square. The intervention in Santa Ana Square has economic and cultural benefits, enabling the recognition of traditional activities in the city; it helps address urban needs, thereby enhancing the attractions of Cuenca's historic center.
