Ítem Acceso Abierto Relación, familia y desarrollo personal - educativo del niño en Educación Inicial(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Lucero Lucero, Diana Elizabeth; Crespo Crespo, Walter Benigno; 010646586-7The family plays a vital role in the personal and educational development of children at an early age since it stimulates personal growth, generates a socio-affective space that provides security and confidence, educates in values and discipline, and above all, in conjunction with early education centers, strengthens the infant's skills and abilities. Children do not develop properly due to ignorance of the role of the family or the representatives’ neglect (for various reasons). They may present problems of several types: psychological, socio-emotional, and academic, among others. This research aims to determine the influence of the quality of care parents provide on children's personal-educational development in early childhood education. It was conducted through descriptive analysis using a literature review with a qualitative approach. Among the main results, it was found that the children with parents who show interest in the integral development of their children by promoting values and cooperation do not have difficulties in their social, academic, and cultural development. This means that a poor relationship between parents and infants, due to inexperience, neglect, migration, or other factors, negatively affects the personal-educational evolution of the infant. In conclusion, the relationship between the family and personal-educational development is fundamental to enhancing the skills and abilities of infants since the family acts as the main link to assist the children in their personal and educational needs.
