Ítem Acceso Abierto Evaluación de rotondas y propuestas de diseño para el caso de la autopista Azogues - Cuenca(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2019) Lozano Jachero, Luisa Cristina; Romero González, Rómulo Ricardo; 0302711775; ., .This applied research work in Traffic Engineering develops an analysis of the evaluation of flow parameters, geometric design, functionality and level of service presented by the Azogues – Cuenca Highroad, emphasizing the three roundabouts located on the road: Zhullín, La Dolorosa and Bellavista. In this specific places, it was elaborated a vehicular count to determine the composition of the traffic; geometric measurements and a functionality analysis of the elements of the road for an evaluation according to the current regulations in Ecuador, and a brief analysis of the accident rate in the conflict zones of each of the roundabouts that were studied. Finally, it was proposed an alternative re-design for a projected traffic according to the growth of the vehicle fleet in the studied area, supported by statistical data provided by Ministry of Transport and Public Works, the government office of mobility in the country.
