The methodology used was descriptive quantitative, with a cross-sectional design. The study population comprised 104,800 microenterprises in the province of Azuay, from which a sample of 383 microenterprises was selected. The data were gathered through a structured survey with 18 items, with a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. This sample was obtained through a probability sampling method, guaranteeing the representativeness of the results for the total population. The data were analyzed with mathematical and statistical analysis using SPSS and Microsoft Excel software. The research results indicate that strategic planning positively impacts the growth of microenterprises in the province of Azuay, with 72% of microenterprises having implemented strategic planning to some extent. In particular, strategic planning is associated with increased growth indicators, such as sales, productivity, profitability, and employment. It was concluded that strategic planning is an effective tool for growth.
