Under this premise, the present study’s general objective is to analyze the epidemiology of chronic non-communicable diseases of greater prevalence in Azogues city from 2019 to 2021. Methodology: It is a descriptive, retrospective, and quantitative study to systematically analyze the public database provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of Ecuador (INEC by its Spanish acronym). This process was performed using Microsoft Excel 2018 and SPSS V23 statistical software, which made it possible to present graphically and textually the distinctive aspects of the epidemiology of chronic patients. Results: Regarding the data obtained, the female gender was the population group with the highest prevalence; the zone with the highest incidence was the rural area; in terms of age, there is a higher number of cases in patients over 60 years of age and those between 41 and 60 years old. The most prevailing chronic diseases were arterial hypertension, diabetes, obesity, overweight, and cancer, with a mortality rate of 2%. Conclusion: The predominance of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases is highlighted with critical statistical data for intervention proposals and health promotion.
