Ítem Acceso Abierto Complicaciones postoperatorias en mujeres con cirugía de cáncer de mama(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Lala Mayancela, Walter Patricio; Buenaño, Christian Eduardo; 0302303177; ., .Introduction: Breast cancer is a high-incidence chronic non-communicable disease, as it is estimated that one in every twelve women suffers from it at some point. Its treatment involves surgery combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, exposing the patient to certain postoperative risks. Objective: To describe postoperative complications in women with breast cancer surgery. Methodology: A bibliographic review with PRISMA guidelines support. Scientific articles published in English/Spanish journals were reviewed and ranked between quartiles 1-4 according to the Schimago evaluation platform. The searches were performed through virtual libraries such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Elsevier, and Springer. The bibliography was conducted through a quantitative and qualitative analysis to find benefit concerning the designed objectives. Keywords were used in English and Spanish with Boolean operators such as AND and OR. The information was processed using the PICO method. Results: Fifty -five studies were analyzed, which, after different screening processes, they were the most closely related to this research interests. Out of 43, 11 were used for in-depth data analysis in the results chapter and subsequent comparisons in the discussion. Conclusions: The most common complication was chronic pain. In terms of prevalence, the figures were generally higher than 50% in the patients analyzed.
