Ítem Acceso Abierto Resistencia antimicrobiana de salmonella spp. En gallinas ponedoras de granjas comerciales del cantón Piñas(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Herrera Macas , Henry Santiago; Campos Murillo, Nathalie; 0705744761During the last 10 years, the consumption of poultry meat and eggs has been growing and with it the production of the same, therefore, to obtain good results at the farm level, analyses have been carried out for the detection of different pathogens that affect the productivity of the flock and its health, for this reason, we must make known the importance of a good diagnosis, management, and treatment with antibiotics for the different diseases. The objective of this study was to determine the presence of Salmonella spp. and its antimicrobial resistance in laying hens from commercial farms in the Piñas canton, from 64 samples taken from the cloaca and floor surface of two productive farms, in which cultures and antibiograms were performed to verify the presence of Salmonella spp. and resistance to Penicillin antibiotics. and resistance to the antibiotics Penicillin P-10, Lincomycin L-2, Tetracycline TE-30, Trimetropim + Sulfamethasone SXT-25, Ciprofloxacin CIP-5, Cefotaxime FOX-30, Chloramphenicol C-30, Azithromycin AZM-15. A 100% presence of the pathogen was observed in the soil surface and 25% in cloacal samples in Farm 1; while for Farm 2, 37.50% was present in soil samples and 13.13% in cloacal samples; in addition to the presence of individuals with multi-resistance in the two farms and two types of samples, against each of the antibiograms, thus identifying a high prevalence and resistance of Salmonella spp. Keywords: Salmonella spp., laying hens, prevalence, incidence, bacterial resistance
