It appears cleat that mental health is crucial to ensure the general well being of individuals, societies. and countries Objective To describe the existing scientific evidence published from 2016 to 2021 regarding mental health problems associated with COVI0-19 in Latin America. A systematic review Method A systematic review of the literature was carried out with the PRISMA statement based on the inclusion and exclusion a criterion In Spanish. English. and Portuguese, throughout different databases such as Scielo, Google Scholar, Redalyc Medline/PubMed. and Scopus published in full text within the last five years Results: results show that out of 1,005 articles. only 20 were included severity in of mental health in the research, after analyzing them. four categories were included severity of mental health in the face of COVID- 19, burnout levels stress and anxiety. psychological stress due to COVID 19, morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. Conclusions The problems associated with mental heath in the general population of Latin America seen that the COVJD-19 pandemic has had a great impact on mental health characterized by fear of being infected, insomnia. anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and the perception of losing one's life.
