The methodology used in this study is based on documentary-literature research with a qualitative approach, in which topics on emotional intelligence and pedagogical strategies were reviewed, considering the concepts of digital books and documents collected from different digital sources such as Google Scholar and Redalyc. Additionally, theses, a scientific database of the Catholic University of Cuenca, SciELO, and Web of Science were utilized. The results from the literature review allowed the development of a proposal as a pedagogical guide for early childhood education teachers to strengthen emotional intelligence in children. In conclusion, it can be said that pedagogical strategies are essential to enhance the development of creativity and imagination in an interdisciplinary way, as well as to facilitate the teaching and learning process for teachers.
