Ítem Restringido Manifestaciones oculares en lupus eritematoso sistemico: revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Gamboa Quimi, Andrea Paulete; Muñoz Palomeque, Danilo Gustavo; 0706453982Introduction: systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune connective tissue disease that can have deleterious effects on many body systems and organs, including the eyes, often with a relapsing clinical course. Within this framework, based on medical evidence, the present work takes as its Study objective: to characterize systemic Lupus Erythematosus and its ocular manifestations through a bibliographic review. Results: The literary findings showed that among the ocular manifestations in SLE were ocular pain, redness, blurred vision and tearing, which leads to complications such as loss of vision, atrophy of the epithelium and serous retinal detachment. Among the diagnostic tools used are the Schirmer test, fluorescein angiography of the fundus and the color vision test. Conclusions: the ocular manifestations in SLE are diverse and can have a significant impact on the visual health of patients, thus considering the importance of continuous medical care and adequate management of ocular complications to preserve vision and vision. quality of life
