Ítem Embargo Carillas dentales con técnica de resina inyectable en el sector anterior. Revisión bibliográfica(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Flores Romero, Cristhian Alexander; Sarmiento Criollo, Patricio Fernando; 0605695923Restorative dentistry’s esthetics have gained significant importance, promoting the evolution of techniques and materials and providing several personalized treatment options to meet patients' expectations. Among the alternatives, dental veneers are noted for their ability to improve the appearance of anterior teeth. The review highlights the "injectable resin composite" technique, which aims to reduce treatment time, dental tissue wear, and costs for the patient and the professional while achieving an esthetic and functional result. The selection of flowable composite resins is due to their properties, such as a higher wetting capacity of the tooth's surface and the formation of minimal layers in small cavities. In addition, their elasticity or low elastic modulus allows them to absorb polymerization shrinkage. Materials and Methods: A search was conducted on PubMed, Google Scholar, and SciELO digital databases using keywords from DeCS/MeSH, resulting in 20 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. These 20 articles were analyzed and discussed. Conclusion: Dental veneers with injectable resin technique are a viable and esthetic option to improve the smile. Provided that there is correct planning and application by the professional, they can satisfy the functional and esthetic needs of the patient since they enable correcting defects in shape, size, color, and position of the dental pieces in a simplified way.
