Ítem Acceso Abierto Rehabilitación temprana en pacientes postquirúrgico del manguito rotador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Espinoza Landin, Ariana Nicole; Capote LLanares, Miguel Ángel; 0751343971; ., .Introduction: Massive rotator cuff tears or ruptures are considered the third most common musculoskeletal discomfort, with a prevalence of 7% to 26%. Surgical treatment is indicated when tears are traumatic or degenerative due to the failure of conservative therapy. Objective: To study the early post-surgical rehabilitation of rotator cuff injuries through a bibliographic review. Method: It was conducted using a descriptive, non-experimental, retrospective study, applying the PRISMA guidelines through an exhaustive search of high scientific and academic impact in the last five years. Results: According to the different studies that support articles in favor of the early passive motion protocol (EPM), it is shown increases ROM to decrease shoulder stiffness and muscle atrophy. With the sensitivity analysis that determines the patients who are intervened to surgery for large tears and are submitted to rehabilitation with delayed passive motion (DPM), these obtained slow healing in the tendon with values of (RR 0.90; CI: 95%, 0.80-1.01 and p=0.06). Conclusion: The early rehabilitative efficacy of the rotator cuff should use early movements, which are the following: a short period of immobilization, with passive external rotation exercises in an immediate supine position, which is recommended 63.3%, early abduction is more limited, but its recommendation is 26.7% and finally internal rotation 3.3%.
