Ítem Solo Metadatos Alimentación en tiempo restringido, efectos cardiometabólicos en adultos con exceso de peso(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Delgado Orellana, Daniela Adriana; Vanegas Izquierdo, Patricia; 0105232813Time-Restricted Eating (TRE) is a dietary strategy that could improve cardiometabolic health, especially in individuals with overweight or metabolic syndrome. This approach is relevant given the current global increase in obesity and related diseases. The aim of this review is to describe TRE and its cardiometabolic effects in adults with overweight. A narrative literature review was conducted, selecting studies in various languages, from 2018 to the present through databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Scielo, and Springer, that were aligned with the keywords and Boolean connectors. This review seeks to shed light on the specific effects of TRE on the cardiometabolic health of overweight adults. The results can inform the development of more effective intervention strategies and will identify potential gaps in the current scientific literature. TRE can positively influence weight loss and improve several cardiometabolic indicators. TRE is suggested as a valuable strategy to tackle obesity and cardiometabolic diseases in various contexts, although efficacy may depend on several factors. Research should be expanded to non-Western and low-income contexts and more rigorous studies should be carried out to assess the long-term sustainability of TRE and its integration into broader lifestyle interventions.
